OH OCTOBER! (short film + october miscellaneous)

the month of october was a great one.
i always feel very creative in fall.
i had lots of adventures
made new animal friends
got a new addition to my film camera family
reveled in the beauty of the fiery month.
here are a few misc. photos i wanted to share.

since i was feeling especially creative
i took a few seconds of film footage of neat things,
things that couldn't be properly captured in a single frame.
the Great Plains, Flint Hills, Kansas City,
Missouri River, Ozark Mountains, Kansas countryside.
also featuring everyday life.

Hello again, dear Abigail! October certainly was a great month for you. You were totally inspired, at your peak of creativity. It was wonderful to see your images spring to life, set in motion and set to music in a video. It allowed us to experience the sights and sounds that you encountered in your explorations. I must again comment that you have an eye for nature and for interesting man made structures and your compositions show how they exist together in harmony. My father loved to take pictures of old weather beaten barns, rusty, abandoned farm equipment, barnacle covered hulls of boats, etc. He would have loved the picture of you posing in front of that dilapidated structure.

So many of these pictures touch me. The lone bird on a wire - what could he be thinking? Your new dog friend - look at the wisdom in his/her eyes! Little Daisy - always curious when you insist on taking her picture. If only she knew how famous she has become! The colored leaves are gorgeous as are the blossoms. In stark contrast, the sliver of crescent moon framed by tree branches is simply amazing.

Don't let this feeling end, dear Abigail. November, December - all year 'round - remain passionate in your search for beauty wherever you might find it, and keep sharing it with us here on your blog. Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Abigail. You too, sweet Daisy!

The Vespers!!! :D And to think that you heard of them from me! It warms the cockles of me heart! :P One of my favs though, it's got the most beautiful tune. Awesome footage, you saw some really beautiful scenery. Glad you could share it with us. :) When you travel, do you ever go through Tennessee?

So many beautiful shots today, Abigail! The one of the ceiling is awesome and reminds me of the ceiling at a little cafe I once stopped at in Oklahoma! I also loved the autumn colors and the frost on the gorgeous flowers!

The films you make are just as brilliant as the photographs you take, and that is really saying something! You have such an eye for detail and composition and it's so wonderful to witness it developing throughout each post you make. I can see you become more and more creative with shots each time and it's so great that you are exploring different mediums. I really encourage you to keep at it, you're great!
