dress up like a sunflower

late summer in Kansas means endless fields thick with sunflowers.
they stretch their necks high,
turning their broad, open faces across the sky with the sun.

last Sunday my outfit sort of resembled my favorite flower,
what with a green skirt, yellow top and brown hair.
it was a perfect early fall day,
the air and grass cool, wild sunflowers blooming in the strangest places around the house,
we frolicked around the backyard taking pictures of each other.

to my Kansas.

You look especially beautiful in these pictures. dear Abigail, prettier than any other flower in the field. It does my heart good to see that white ball of fur by your side and in your protective, loving arms. Priceless moments are captured here in these photos.

I wish you and Daisy a safe and happy weekend, dear friend Abigail!

More than just the colour scheme, you've caught the happy, peaceful vibe of the sunflower just perfectly. The 3rd and 4th photos are so sweet and just perfect.

It must be beautiful to be surrounded by sunflowers. They are such 'happy' flowers. You look just lovely and I adore your outfit. Your skirt is just perfect and I still can't get over how cute and tiny Daisy is!

I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but I adore sunflowers. Your outfit is just lovely, too--you match the sunflowers perfectly!

Wow! You look stunning, just like a sunflower. :) That last photo of all the sunflowers going past is very nice, the colours are so vibrant they leap off the screen.

I do love sunflowers! I have never seen a field of them as big as your photo though, that must really be something! Your outfit is so cute, I love the style of that skirt.

Perfectly lovely, your skirt is my favorite part and that close up shot of the sunflower-- gorgeous! I love the quiet joyful feeling of these shots.
