THE SUNSET PROJECT - WEEK 25

for over a week i've been away from any computer or wifi.
i'm not saying this fact makes me better than anyone else,
i just wanted to share that it felt really nice.
exploring, working, summer, family,
sometimes i've just got to let that take precedence over all else.
and like i said before,
it was really, really nice
and so refreshing.

living out of a suitcase for a few days
being away from what i'm familiar with,
sometimes that's all it takes to adjust my sights.

p.s. did you catch me on The Earth Through A Lens last week?
i got to participate in another wonderful blog series...

I'm so glad that you've been having fun this summer and just going places (something I wish I could do). The fact that you're totally separating yourself, if even for a short while, from the hassle of electronics and everything else is super admirable and I only wish more people could do the same.
The sunsets you've snapped this time are all so lovely, it's hard to pick one I like the best. The first one though is probably my favorite, simply because I love peachy-colored clouds against light blue skies. I hope you continue to have a great summer exploring! :)

It is really nice to be away from the computer for a while and focus on other things! I like the photo from June 23rd, the nice big sky and the little neighborhood below.

Favorite sunset: June 24th. It is nice that you've had the chance to be away from technology for so long, sometimes you need that break from the internet and all the buzz and just allow yourself to really take notice of the world around you without the distraction of a screen.

I liked doing that too this summer, unplugging and focusing on friends, family visiting, parties & vacations! But how do you get the sky in your photos such an amazing blue?

yes, it's so refreshing.
i don't know how the sky gets so blue, honestly. i think some nights are naturally more blue than others, but i also use the vivid color setting on my camera quite a bit (these are shot with two variations of the Canon PowerShot). that might have something to do with it.

Oh thank you for the reply. Perhaps my next camera should be a Canon? With the Nikon it seems like I take like 6 photos of the same thing and each one will look a bit different {on automatic} It's all about the light!!
