The Sunset Project - Week 8

some days
i'm having fun
then
my watch beeps
i have to stop what i'm doing
put the conversation on hold
excuse myself
step outside

it used to be hard
a little embarrassing

but every time?

i'm glad i stepped away
pleased at what greets me

The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.Psalm 65:8

Yes, that is a wise and wonderful way to look at things, as well, I feel, as a powerful sign that you're listening to your heart. When your desire to do what you feel you should (or want to) trumps what others think of us, we are on the path (or further enhancing) something seriously great.

*PS* I'm delighted to know that you enjoyed today's 1950s springtime fashion post, sweetheart. Thank you very much for pinning some of the images to your sewing inspiration board. I hope you'll share anything you make that was inspired by those fashions here with us - I'd love to see it/them! ♥

My favourite image from this post is March 27th. It looks like flames in the sky - just beautiful. Our sunsets are rarely as colourful as these.

You have such beautiful sunsets! Lately mine have been looking a lot like your 26.

Sunrise, crisp morning, fresh breeze, sunny afternoon under cobalt blue skies, brilliant sunset, twilight time, full moon night or pitch blackness on the plain under a canopy of stars - natural wonders like these are offered to us every day - available, accessible, waiting to inspire and lift us up. There is no fee, no admission charge for a front row seat to behold these magnificent sights. Why is so much of our time and attention focused on sleaze and slime, murder and mayhem, violence and destruction? Too many children of all ages are looking down when they should be looking up.

ha ha, yes, springtime can be cloudy and rainy. i'm actually surprised we haven't had more cloudy days. oh well, i'll probably have plenty soon. Happy spring :)

oh my, yes.
what you have described are seemingly small, unnoticed events that happen pretty much every day... yet they are huge, surrounding us- and we hardly ever experience them!
such a shame that trivial, passing things get in the way of just experiencing creation.

I love Friday's! :) Thank you for the lovely comment. They always make me smile. Maybe I'm just a country girl after all. Hehe. Hope you have an amazing week!
