I made this dress when i was under the influence of warmer weather.
I'm not quite ready to let winter go, but a couple days of sunny, warm air had me frolicking about
in bright colors
A few days later (in typical Kansas fashion) the temperature dropped 30 degrees in an hour and it was snowing again.
I did what i do best; got the pattern for one dollar and the fabric on sale.
Daisy likes to sleep while i sew.
I dearly love winter, but
'it's nice to dream
of the green, green grass of spring!'

Hi! I gave you a Liebster Award! Details here: http://iamthegreatgwen.blogspot.com/2014/02/liebster-award.html
That is such a lovely dress! You look beautiful - well done!
Wow you made that?! It looks amazing! I've always wanted to sew a dress but I'm rather intimidated. I love your photos so much. The two you took of yourself remind me of vintage photographs you might find while rummaging through a hatbox of memories at your grandmother's house. :)
You're incredible! I’m following you now, it would be great if you do the same <3

The dress is perfect!! I know what you mean. I just about wore a dress yesterday {I'm much more of a tomboy}.
Very sweet! I love the colour.
That dress looks beautiful on you! Wishing I could pull this off :)

Excellent fabric choice for this timelessly pretty dress. I think that avocado-esque shades like this get far too little play in the fashion world these days. One say them more in the 20s-60s, but rarely so in women's clothing (especially) nowadays (be it modern styles or vintage ones). Wonderful job on this creation, honey, it looks gorgeous on you.

*PS* Thank you very much for your terrifically nice comment on yesterday's post. I sincerely appreciate that you recognize the time and effort that goes into a post of that size.
These pictures are absolutely gorgeous! Congrats on that dress; looks so beautiful on you!
so vintage look like! really love this
My goodness are we twins?!? Here is a brief list of the things that we have in common: I am a teenager, a vintage lover (in the extreme. especially the 40s), I have three dogs that look exactly like your dog, I am an aspiring mandolinist and bluegrass lover, and most importantly, a born-again Christian. I will definitely follow this blog, and thank you so much for creating it! :)
Oh my gosh, this is so adorable. Love the fabric and the fit! I'm definitely going to try and get hold of this pattern
Woah -- beautiful!
