THE SUNSET PROJECT - WEEK 49

week 49.
just a couple more weeks
and i'll have been at this a whole year.
i may have mentioned before
i'm not new to this project
it's been going off and on for some time now.
but it's a habit today.
the golden hour and approaching dusk
is imprinted on my mind.
just as sure as one never thinks about blinking their eyes.
it is a part of life.

Hi, dear Abigail! Oh my, this week's sunsets are especially beautiful. If you use your imagination, last Sunday's picture showing drifted snow could instead be a sand dune leading down to the seashore. Monday's image makes it seem like heaven and earth are on fire. The rest of the week brought blue skies, golden sunsets and the occasional exhaust trail of an airplane streaming across the sky. I can almost feel the chill surrounding me as the light dims and the temperature drops with the approach of a winter's night. You've been at this project almost a year and yet we have never seen the exact same sunset twice. It's amazing, isn't it?

I hope you and Daisy had a great weekend, dear friend Abigail, and I wish you a safe and happy week ahead!

Monday's radiant sunset - alive with the hues of a July garden - was breathtaking! We don't get a lot of vibrant sunsets around these parts, but the universe bestowed a special gift upon Tony and I on the evening of our wedding day back in 2004, with a similarly riotously bright pink/red sunset that seemed all the more fitting given that our colours were red and burgundy.

Oodles of hugs & happy wishes for this week,
♥ Jessica

I think it's so amazing you've been able to photograph the sunset every day for nearly a year straight now! These lovely photos never cease to amaze me.

There is something very nice about making a time in your day to go out and capture the world. This idea is perfect. x
