when i was younger and i heard grown ups saying that time flies by so fast,
i scoffed and thought they were kinda crazy.
sometimes time went by too slowly for me
and when i was older, i'd make sure to keep a grip on reality.
then all the sudden
i'm staring at my flickr page for this project going;
whoa, i just made that picture like, last week.
but it was half a year ago.

Hi, dear Abigail (and sweet fur baby Daisy)!
Your Sunday cloudburst is one of your best ever pictures. Monday's looks like more of The Maker's skywriting. Friday's looks like a gigantic watercolor painted by The Master.
Thanks for the Andy Griffith clip! It's been decades since I've seen or even thought about Briscoe Darling and the Darling Boys (the bluegrass act The Dillards), singing sweetheart Charlene Darling (Maggie Peterson, soon to be 73 years old) Ernest T. Bass and all the other quirky characters on one of my favorite sitcoms. The Andy Griffith Show. along with The Beverly Hillbillies and Gilligan's Island, represents a period of time when families could gather around the television together and watch an entire evening of television without fear that the children would be exposed to graphic violence and sleaze. Do you understand why so many boomers are nostalgic and long for the "good old days"?
Thank you for a wonderful post, dear friend Abigail. Please pat Daisy and have a great week!
It is quite fretting (for me at least) at how fast time flies. I do find that each year that I get older the year gets shorter and shorter. But when I remember that I've got about 70 years ahead of me to do amazing things and see amazing things, I feel a little more at ease. Time is what we make of it :)
Beautiful raindrops on the window picture too!
I remember feeling the same way when I was younger and then once I reached a certain age I realized what they were talking about! This year especially seems to be going by fast. Here's what really blew my mind recently, six years from now, it's going to be "the 20's" again. So from then on we'll have to start saying 1920's when talking about that specific era.
I couldn't watch the plug in, but if that's the one with Ernest T like Shady Del Knight said, THEN THAT'S MY ALL TIME FAV EPISODE OF THAT SHOW!!! We quote Ernest T a lot.... and my brothers have likened my singing to his, gross falsehood. Your photos were beautiful, as always.
thank you.
i'm sorry you couldn't watch it. here's the link:
